What is your staff doing to ensure safety?

In order to prioritize members’ safety and protect themselves, all are required to do a daily screen including a temperature check before their shift, and are required to wear Person Protective Equipment (PPE). All Midtown Fitness employees are trained on the proper execution of our updated health and safety protocols.

What is a self-screening?

At the check-in counter, each member will need to read and agree that they do not have any symptoms related to the COVID-19 virus including: experiencing any coughing, having a temperature of 100.4o, or having difficulty breathing. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms or additional symptoms related to the virus we kindly ask that you do not check-in or enter the club. Temperatures will not be taken in the club.

What happens if someone visits the club has, or is exposed to the virus?

Members will be asked to alert their club’s General Manager if they test positive for COVID-19 within 14 days of their last club visit. Midtown Fitness will email notification to all potentially exposed persons if there is a confirmed case of COVID-19. Members who have come in contact with another individual who has COVID-19 are asked to not enter the club until they have been tested or 14 days have past.

Do members have to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)?

No, members do not have to wear PPE while they are in the club. If a member would like to have gloves for their visit, a Midtown Fitness associate can provide this upon request. Members may bring their own mask to use within the club and are required to wear them in all common areas, but may remove them when exercising while 6 feet of physical distancing is maintained.

What are the cleaning guidelines for members?

There are disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizers located throughout the club. Members are to wipe down equipment before and after use. Please also wipe any surrounding area that has been affected by your workout.

Will membership fees begin right away?

Membership fees will be collected on July 15th for July prorated dues and also be given a credit for the March dues that were collected.

Will I have access to the locker room and showers?

The restrooms, sinks and locker bays, showers and the use of lockers to store your belongings will be available. All will be marked and spaced at least 6 feet apart to allow for physical distancing. Both small and large towels will only be available at the front desk. There will be no towels provided in the locker rooms.

What amenities are being provided?

The showers amenities (shampoo, conditioner, body wash) will be available, but other amenities (lotion, deodorant, hairspray, blow dryers, Qtips, etc.) will not be available at this time.

Will there be classes?

At this time, limited classes will be offered. Most classes will be held outside (weather permitting) and registration will be required through our website and/or app. 10 spots will be available. There will still be a live class on Facebook every day. Midtown Fitness will inform you of the summer schedule of classes.

Is the club open to new members?

Yes, the club is open to new members. If you would like a tour, please stop by the club and we will be happy to show you around.

Will basketball, racquetball, volleyball and soccer be available?

Yes, they will, but only for single player use. No games will be allowed at this time.
